Born in Lebanon on August 20, 1930, he was a son of the late Harrison and Grace (Dees) Stevenson.
Dale entered the United States Army in 1948, serving during the Korean War. After his discharge, he served in the National Guard as a sergeant major, retiring after 38 years of service. He met his wife, Dorothy on a blind date and shared 50 years of marriage with her before her passing in 2004. He enjoyed reading books and watching old westerns on Netflix. Funny, outspoken, whimsical, and selfless are just a few words to describe Dale. Dale learned the importance of hard work as a child and, throughout most of his adult life, worked two to three jobs in order to provide for his family who always, always came first.
He is survived by three daughters - Kathleen Winter and her husband, Curtis, Deborah Dupler and her husband, Barry, and Mary M. Graham and her husband, Eugene; a daughter in law, Colleen (Clark) Stevenson; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Stevenson, Jr., seven brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 25th at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon with a visitation time from 9:30-10:00. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
