Burley Ray Akins, 79, of Keiser, passed away, September 17, 2018 at his home. He was born September 8, 1939 to Jack and Mandy Akins. He was a retired farmer, was always busy working on properties, loved watching and listing to Billy Graham. Survivors include son: Gary Ray Akins; daughter: Elizabeth Thornburg-Pritchard; grandchildren: Phillip Thornburg, Timmy Thornburg, Randy Akins, Gary Akins and Rachel Summerville; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Espinoza, Betty (Tommy) Walls and Doris Akins; brothers: Billy (Jean) Akins, Tobe Akins and Tommy Joe Akins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Ellen Inez Akins.
