A graveside service for James A. “Jimmy” Hutchison, 73, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon – 2:30 prior to service at the funeral home.
James A. “Jimmy” Hutchison passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday September 12, 2018, surrounded by his family.
Jimmy was a sweet and loving man. He had a great sense of humor and always loved to make his grandkids laugh. Jimmy married the love of his life in 1964; Jimmy and Pattie were inseparable, even after her death in 2009. Jimmy was a longtime railroad man as well. He loved his family and also loved to tinker around the house fixing things. He was an avid gun collector and a lifelong member of the NRA.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Hutchison; their son James A. Hutchison, III; their grandson Ryland Ames; his parents James and Nautilla Hutchison, Sr. and his brother Byron Hutchison.
Jimmy is survived by his son and wife Clifford and Melissa Hutchison; daughter Misty Ames; grandchildren Phoenix Burnett, Devin Hanson and Heather Hutchison; brothers and sisters-in-law Boyd and Dorinda Eckenroad and Paul, Jr. and Betty Eckenroad of Pennsylvania; cousins Raymond and Len Jackson, Glen Roof, Sr., Glen Roof, Jr., Cheri Griffith and Clay Griffith; niece Tara Eckenroad of Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends.
