Dana William Worth, 45, of Louisville Ky, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at 2:46 a.m. at the University of Louisville Trauma Center.
He was born Feb. 28, 1973, in Sullivan, the son of Thomas Worth and Jean Shorter Worth. Dana graduated from Union High School in Dugger in 1991 where he played basketball, baseball and football. He was a CNC programmer and operator at ERL Inc.
He attended Ivy Tech Terre Haute with an Associate Degree. He was a friend of Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky and was an avid Bible student.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Jean Worth of rural Jasonville, fiancé Elizabeth Moyer of Louisville, brother Brian Worth of Dugger, sister Lisa Blair (Gary) of Loogootee, and nephew Derrick Alderson of Linton and niece Leslie (Chris) Bauer and their children, Ryllee and Loren Grace of Shoals.
Dana was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perlina and Oliver Crichfield and James and Ethel Shorter.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery located in Midland. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
