Webster --- Darrell "Dago" Page, 75, of Webster, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at the Bethesda Home in Webster.

Darrell George Page was born Dec. 3, 1926, to Ernest and Sarah (Helgerson) Page in Webster. He attended school in Webster and graduated from Webster High School. He served for 20 years in active military service in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He was stationed at various bases including Okinawa, England and Germany.

He married Catherine Cicely Webb of Cheltenham, England, on Aug. 16, 1952, in Webster. He retired from active duty in the U.S. Army in 1966 and returned to the area. He attended Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown and graduated in 1968. After graduation the couple moved to Anoka, Minn., where he worked for Peterson Office Systems and the Anoka School District. In 1974, they returned to Webster where he was employed at Mereen-Johnson Company and then drove school bus for Harlow Bus Service for 15 years until retirement.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and was a life member of American Legion (PUFL) where he was Past Commander.

He enjoyed traveling, playing cards and using a metal detector. He was known for his sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife of Webster; one son, Robert (Pam) Page of Webster; three daughters, Sharon (Terry) Brekke and Virginia (Greg) Klein, both of Watertown, and Dianne (Ray) Madrigal of Marshall, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
