Charlotte George, 84, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2018 surrounded by family. Charlotte was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Willailla, Kentucky, to the late Edward and Hazel Gabbard.

A devoted mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend, she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Norman; two children, Larry St. George and Jill (Paul) McCowan; grandson Jake McCowan; granddaughter Tiffany Smith; great-granddaughters Peyton and Kayla Smith; brothers Edward and James (Vicky) Gabbard; sister Chris (Tom) Williams; and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Paul. Charlotte had a quick wit, great style and a magical connection with babies and kids, who were instinctively drawn to her for comfort, fun and adventure – not to mention the world's best homemade cornbread, mac 'n' cheese and strawberry cake. Her soaring, sudden whoop of a laugh could light up a room. She will be missed dearly. A special thank you to Allison Lucas and Vitas Hospice for their exceptional care.

Visitation at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. Hamilton, OH 45013. Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park.
