Jerry Don Linton, 68, of Russellville, died Monday, September 17, 2018, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. The son of Raymond and Annie (Jackson) Linton, he was born January 30, 1950, in Russellville. He married Brenda Linton, on May 22, 1970, at London, AR. Jerry worked for 33 years for ConAgra, while also owning his own business, Jerry's Paint & Body Shop for 31 years. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church where he enjoyed worship with his faith family and especially the singing of great southern gospel music. He was an auto enthusiast and enjoyed hot rods and stock car races.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Larry Linton. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Brenda; a daughter, Martie McLeland (Joey) of Russellville; his son Donny Linton (Melody) of Rogersville, MO; four granddaughters, Morgan Schmoll and Lorie Schmoll, both of Atkins; Harmony Linton and Bre Linton, both of Rogersville, MO; two grandsons, D.J. McLeland and Trevor McLeland, both of Russellville; two great-granddaughters, Paisley and Laynie of Atkins; a brother, Roy Linton (Audrey) of Russellville; a sister-in-law, Lavada Padgett (Elmer) of Russellville; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, 3345 SR 124 in Russellville. Rev. Devoe Campbell will officiate. Burial is at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
