Ann M. Fitzgerald, 90, of Springfield, died at 5:25 pm, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on July 28, 1928 in Springfield to James and “Mickey” (Lozzi) Ippolito, Sr. She married William J. Fitzgerald, Sr. on October 6, 1951, and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2006.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann (Gary) Bateman, Pat (Don) Wisniewski, both of Springfield, Laurie (Joe) Anderson of Sebring, FL and Julie (Richard) Flynn of Springfield; two sons, William J. (Kim) Fitzgerald, Jr. of St. Louis, MO and John Fitzgerald of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Ford of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Ippolito.
Ann enjoyed quilting, genealogy, ceramics, cooking and reading. She especially loved her kitty.
Ann retired from the Social Security Administration.
