We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Paul Carlton, age 77 of Newnan, on September 4, 2018 at his residence.
PAUL CARLTON was born March 20, 1941 in Fayette County, Georgia to the late Clarence and Annie Brooks Carlton. At an early age he joined New Hope United Methodist Church. He is precede in death by one brother, Claude Carlton; and one sister, Eunice Carlton Starr (McArthur Starr).
Paul was educated in the Fayette County School System. After which, he was drafted into the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War in 1967. He retired from Super Valu Warehouse after 38 years of service.
Paul collected antique cars and would always show case his cars in the ML King Parade. Paul was a member of the Newnan Classis Car Club and other car groups.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Katie Domineck Carlton.
He leaves to mourn his passing, a daughter, Lisa (Clinton) Timmons, sons Derek (Belinda) Reid and John (Lena) Reid; grandchildren, Carlos (Rasheka) Reid, D.J. (Camile) Reid, Kayla Reid; great grandchildren: Trinity Reid, Takinzley Reid, Yakerra Burns and Keyln Reid; brother, Jessie (Kathleen) Carlton; sisters-in-law: Annie Ruth Melson, Arelisha Petty, Mary Frances (Henry) Roberts; brothers-in-law: Toby Domineck, and Marvin (Maggie) Domineck; a very special friend Geneva Gibson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and support that we have received from our family and friends in the most difficult time of grief. May God continue to bless each of you.
Interment will follow immediately after the Funeral Service at Eastview Cemetery, Milton Avenue, Newnan, Georgia 30263.
