Michael Dalton Prince, 23, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Graham Funeral Home from 6PM-8PM. Funeral service, officiated by Reverend Rod Reed, will be held at Victory Christian Fellowship on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11AM. Burial will immediately follow the ceremony and be held in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

Born in Georgetown, SC on January 14, 1995, he was a son of Christy Michau Matthews and Johnny Joe Prince, Sr. He attended Georgetown High School. Mr. Prince enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and spending time on the river. He loved his children dearly and spent as much time as possible with them.

Surviving in addition to his parents, both of Georgetown, his stepfather, Johnny Matthews of Georgetown; his sons, Braxton Michael Prince and a son on the way, Michael Dalton Prince, Jr.; his daughter, Anna Grace Prince; a brother, Johnny Joe Prince, Jr. of Georgetown; two half-brothers, Brandon Prince of Summerville and Kash Prince of Georgetown; three nieces, Khloe Prince, Peyton Prince, and Addison Prince; a nephew, Zachary Prince; maternal Grandmother, Libby Ann Wilson; an aunt, April Vause (Jason) of Georgetown; an uncle, Shane Prince of Georgetown; his grandmother, Delores Moore of Summerville; the mother of his children, Angelica Faith Goude of Georgetown; and a number of other special uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Michael James Michau and Thomas Howard Prince, Sr.

A 23-year-old Georgetown County man died early Sunday after a truck he was riding in overturned in floodwaters, according to county Coroner Kenny Johnson.

Michael Dalton Prince was trapped in the flooded vehicle and drowned, Johnson said Sunday. He was found unresponsive and declared dead at the scene by emergency response officials around 2:30 a.m.

Prince was in the truck with two other people, Johnson said. Those people were able to escape the vehicle after it overturned into a ditch along Plantersville Road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Sunday that they were taken to the hospital.
