She married Martin R. Luther, Sr., in 1963 at St. Francis Solanus Church in Harrisville. He died on 2/25/2017.

She worked for New York State in Albany from the time she was 17 until moving to Harrisville in December, 1957.

She and Martin owned and operated the Harrisville Laundromat and B & M Bookkeeping Service in Harrisville for a number of years, until they moved to Watertown in 2002, and to LaFargeville in 2005. While residing in Harrisville, she had also supervised the Harrisville Youth Recreation Program for a number of years.

Surviving was her husband; three sons, John “Jack” (Sheryl), Craig (Terri), and Martin Luther, Jr.; a daughter, Laura (Wendell) Cornaire; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Diane Powers.

She was predeceased by a sister, Carole Decent, in 2003.
