DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN
Henry Daniel was born March 8, 1827 in Green County, Kentucky and died at his old home in White Oak township, August 24, 1907.
He was married to Elizabeth Madron, April 25, 1852. To this union were born eight children, three girls and five boys. Nancy Walton and John G. of Buckland, Kansas; George T. of Los Angeles, Cal.; Henry S. of Creston, Iowa; William K., Martin and Sarah Ward, wife of G.W. Ward, who resides here; Rosa Miller who died in Stafford, Kan; May 10, 1904, aged 32 years. All children were present except George.
Funeral services were held at White Oak Church, Sunday, August 25, by Eld. W.O. Dotson. After the services we laid to rest all that was mortal of one of White Oak's oldest and most honored citizens.
Bro. Daniel had felt for some time that his earthly career was soon to close, and he seemed content, although he suffered intensely, yet, without a murmer or complaint. Peace to his ashes.
