Joy was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School. Early in life, she worked at the former Philco Ford, later Zenith, Watsontown. She also worked at the former Jasper Wood Products and Masonite, Watsontown, as well as the former Huntingdon Silk Mill, Mifflinburg. Joy retired from the former Petro All American Truck Plaza, Milton. She was a member of God's Missionary Church, New Columbia. Joy enjoyed puzzles, crosswords and watching game shows.
Surviving are five children and their spouses, Michele and Ronald Hollenbach, of Allenwood, Tina and Rodney Aikey, of Milton, Michael Jr. and Cindy Bennett, of New Columbia, Scott Bennett, of Lewisburg, and Karen and Kevin Latsha, of Bloomsburg; one sister, Marie Beck, of Milton; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Lee and Glenn Beck, and one sister, Arlene Murray.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to God's Missionary Church, 852 Ridge Road, New Columbia, PA 17856.
