Diane A. Murphy, age 70 of Fennville, MI, passed away on Sunday, September 16 with her loving family by her side. Diane was strong in her faith with our Lord and Savior. Diane was well known for her gifted artistic ability, especially in paintings of animals and nature. She is the daughter of the late Ervin and Grace Schoemaker.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Melvin L. Murphy. She is also survived by her three children, Scott Meyaard, Alice (Jeff) Van Hassel, and Melvin (Sue) Murphy Jr.; siblings, Dale (Laura) Shoemaker, Esther (Terrance) Kruithoff, Carol (Marlin) Cooke, Dennis B. (Cindy) Schoemaker, Daniel C. (Marchia) Schoemaker; and many loving grandchildren.
Funeral service for Diane will be held at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI, on Friday, September 21, at 1 PM, with a visitation from 11 AM – 1 PM, with Marcia Tucker officiating. Interment at the
Pearl Cemetery. Following interment a luncheon will take place at the home of Paul Murphy, 2038 36th St. Allegan, MI 49010. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd. Holland, MI 49423.
