Patti was born in Harrodsburg, KY in 1834. She married G.W. Moore, a merchant in Louisville in 1851, The moved to Kansas City in 1860. She took an active role in the charitable and reformatory institutions of Kansas City. In 1889, she was appointed police matron. In 1893, she was one of the woman commissioners at the World's Fair in Chicago.

Mrs. Patti Moore Recovering.
Mrs. Patti Moore, police matron, who has been ill in Agnew hospital for the past two weeks, is recovering slowly, according to the report of the nurses this morning. Her condition is still such, however, that no visitors are admitted, the doctor insisting that Mrs. Moore have perfect rest. She may not leave the hospital for some time.

Mrs. Patti Moore Again on Duty.
Mrs. Patti Moore, police matron, has again taken up her official duties at the Central police station. For several weeks Mrs. Moore was a very sick woman and for the greater part of the time was a patient at Agnew hospital. She was given a warm greeting by the police and newspaper men on duty at the Central station.
