Born May 27, 1969, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Strickland.
Surviving with his fiancée and companion of 31 years are Gladys Magers; three children, Judy Magers, James Magers and Hope Holcomb; and two grandsons, Alexander Vernon and Korey Magers.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
