[Edmore – Janice M. (Field) Bailey, 80, of McBride, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born September 30, 1937 in McBride, the daughter of Glenn and Viola (Nielsen) Field. She married Lee R. Bailey on April 2, 1955 in Edmore.
Janice was involved with the red hat lady society for many years. She opened her home at Christmas time for all to see the many trees and thousands of Santa’s. Janice said “I believe I was put on this earth to help others”.
She is survived by her children Michael and Shelly Bailey of Stanton, Carole and Bruce Reynolds of Vestaburg, son-in-law Mark Gardner of Six Lakes, Gary and Lori Bailey of Blanchard, and Richard and Debbie Bailey of McBride. 22 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Step-Great Granddaughters, 2 Great-Great Granddaughters. 3 brothers Robert and Loreen Field of Edmore, Bruce Field of Florida, Alan and Sue Field of Sparta; 1 sister Joyce and Robert Linton of Edmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Viola Field; her husband Lee Bailey in 2002; daughters Susan Bailey in 1957 and Linda Gardner in 2013; a granddaughter Kasie Reynolds in 1978; a grandson Timothy Bailey in 2004; a great-granddaughter Andrea Petersen in 2000; and a sister-in-law Charlotte Field in 2018.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, MI with Pastor Peter Carlson officiating. Interment will be in McBride Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home and 1 hour before the funeral on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions can be made to the Bailey Family Memorial Fund for needed expenses. A luncheon at the First Baptist Church of Vestaburg on Caris Road will follow the graveside services.]
