He was born Nov. 18, 1907, at Adams, and married Dolorose Hendry in Crookston on Oct. 12, 1942. He was employed by the Highway Department from 1939 to 1973, except for the three years he was in the Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church here, the church Men's Club and Stewartville American Legion.
Survivors include his widow; five sons, William Jr., of Stewartville, Timothy and Terrance, both of Rosemont, Kevin of Racine and Beno with the Navy in the Pacific; two daughters, Maureen of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Daniel (Debra) Daciw of Thunder Bay, Ont., and eight grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
The funeral is tentatively set for 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Bernard's Catholic Church here, with the Rev. Paul Halloran officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
