She was born June 27, 1929 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Tony and Alma Carter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Lowe. She attended Abba’s House.
Mrs. Lowe enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She had a servant’s heart, she was very caring and giving. Mrs. Lowe loved to travel, she especially loved the mountains. One of her favorite trips was a cruise that she and her husband got to enjoy together. She was an avid reader.
Survivors include her children; Larry Ayer, Roger (Pamela) Ayer, Charlotte Ayer, and Cherry (Mike) Davis; grandchildren, Paul (Kayla) Davis, Shannon (Kevin) Shackleford, and Matthew Shapiro; great grandchildren, Kason Shackleford and Haylee Davis.
Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Monday, September 17, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 Sunday evening.
