Brent was born in Annapolis, Maryland, son of Ben and Emily Ford Carr. In high school he was a member of the lacrosse team and concert and marching bands. He was a student at Anne Arundel Community College. He played club lacrosse at Rehobeth, Delaware. He died due to injuries from an auto accident. Also survived by three sisters, Wendy, Pamela and Jacqueline and grandmother Nettie Ford of Lothian, Maryland.
