Published in The Paducah Sun (McCracken Co., KY), Sun., 8 Feb 1998 - CAIRO, Ill. - Leslie E. Webster, 81, of Cairo died at 6:22 p.m. Saturday at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Webster was a retired laboratory technician for Burkart Foam Co. here. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church here, where he served as chief usher for many years, and was a member of Cairo Knights of Columbus Council 1027.

Surviving are three daughters, Leslie Webster and Kare Johnston of Cairo and Emily Helman of Villa Ridge; a son, Patrick O. Webster of Cairo; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Websger, and a son, Bruce Webster. His parents were Theodore and Jennie Hodges Webster.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Chuch, The Rev. Jerome Fortenberry will officiate, with burial in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.
