Don Lee Cook of Spokane, Washington passed away peacefully on September 12, 2018. He was 88 years old. Don was born on January 12, 1930 to Ernest Martin Cook & Bessie A. (Buell) Cook, of Nine Mile Falls, WA. He was preceded by his parents and his Rowland and Cook half-siblings. Don grew up on Four Mound Prairie in the Seven Mile area. He and his mother later moved to Spokane where he graduated from North Central High School in 1948. He worked for nearly 40 years as a Cameraman in the printing business. He started out at C.W. Hill Printing and later worked for The Spokane Valley Herald.

He enjoyed camping, gardening, and going to the casino with his wife. He had a love for hot rods & classic cars. He had a great sense of humor and was adored by everyone that met him.

A "Celebration of Life" and reception was held on Saturday, 29 September 2018 at Hennessey Funeral Home in Spokane with his stated final resting place as Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.

Don is survived by his 2nd wife, one daughter, three sons and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. End.

James Buell's parents were George Dunlevy Buell and Hester Ann (Thorn), Buell. On his mother's side, Don was preceded in death by half-brothers Lloyd, Fred, Ray and Gordon Rowland, not all linked below. Forgive the brevity here of records regarding Don's Buell lineage as this contributor is not a Buell descendant and not as well versed. The burial places of some of his Rowland half-siblings are unknown and thus not linked below.
