“Miss Ida” as she was affectionately known, worked for more than 40 years as a legal secretary in both Vance and Franklin Counties where as she termed it, she “raised” one judge and four lawyers. Miss Ida was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church, she loved to read and to knit, many in the family have knitted afghans that she made. Miss Ida loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and she will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with Reverend Bill Pyle officiating. Burial will follow Lancaster Memorial Park.
Miss Ida is survived by her daughter, Sheila Daniel (Marvin); son, Chuck Latta; grandson, David Greene (Dorothy); granddaughter, Andrea Mullins (Chris Turnbull); seven great-grandchildren, Chad (Toni), Ashleigh (Zach), Tyler, Parker, Jagger, Olivia, and Chris Jr. ; and a great-great-grandchild, Alex. Also surviving are her brother, James Lassiter; her sister, Penny Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
