In the 1850 Census for Taylor County, Kentucky. His name was given as John, age 2.
I suspect his full name was John Henry Perkins. In all the subsequent records his name has been Henry Perkins

In the 1870 Larue County Census he was living with his mother, Mary A. Perkins, 40. He was 24 years old. also in the home, Celia A., 11; and Simon, 9.

He married Elizabeth Houston on 27 December 1870 in LaRue County, Kentucky.

In the 1880 LaRue County Census for the Buffalo district, Henry Perkins was family 171. He was 32 years old, a Farmer, born in Kentucky, as were his parents. His wife, Elizabeth, was 24. Their children were: Henrie Ann, 8; Artie, 6; Will Tom, 4; Rosa D., 3; James Billie, 2; and Leslie Jane, 1 year. He lived next door to William Houston, Henry's mother, Mary A. Perkins, age 42, was living with William. Her son Simon was with her.

In 1900, Henry and his wife Elizabeth are living in household 164. Living with them:

John Son b. May 1881
Ervin, Grandson b. May 1898 ( I do not know which of Henry's children was the parent of Ervin.)

In the 1910 Bullitt County Census, Henry Perkins was 69 years old and married 45 years to Elizabeth, age 59. She is shown to have 9, 7 living children.
At home are: John, 21; Claudia M., 15; and widowed daughter, Eliza Coppell, age 27.

In the 1920 Bullitt County Census, Pitts Point, Henry Perkins was 79 years old and his wife, Elizabeth, 69. One son, John Perkins, age 27, lived at home.
