Obituary from the Gilmer Free Press, Saturday September 15, 2018: Cody Lane Brown, age 71, of Catlett, VA, previously of Weston, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the comfort of her own home. She was born in Weston, WV on June 17, 1947 a daughter of the late William and Ramona Valto Ash Means. Cody is survived by three children: Tiffany Pletcher and husband, Howard, of Catlett, VA, Shane Epp and wife, Connie, of Jane Lew, and Cody Genelle Neely of Weston; seven grandchildren: Casey, Shea, Destiny, Devan, Summer, Angel, and Kiersten; six great grandchildren; two siblings: Pam Wilson and husband, Larry, of Alum Bridge, and Cary Means and wife, Patty, of Salem, WV; one very special friend, Jim Horner of Weston and former spouse Leo Fred Epp. In addition to her parents, Cody was preceded in death by two siblings: Cristy Radcliff, and William "Hoppy" Means. Cody was a Godly woman who put her faith in the Lord. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and wonderful mother and grandmother. Her love of music was also a love for dancing and she could really cut the rug. She was an enthusiastic fan of WWE and had tons of fun watching her favorite wrestlers. She loved to laugh and her unique infectious laugh is one of the things that will be missed most. Family and friends will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service 144 Hackers Creek Road in Jane Lew from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Funeral Services, with Pastor Dave Riddle officiating, will follow at 1:00 PM from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Jane Lew.
