June L. Farmer, 85, former president of Women's City Club. Former resident of New York City, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in Amherst, MA. She was born in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of David and Esther (Adlin) Labovitz and graduated from the University of Minn. in 1943. She moved to New York in 1948 where she was director of Education at the Mount Vernon YMHA, head of day camp consultation services in the New York City Department of Health, and director of volunteers at Planned Parenthood. She was elected to the New York Academy of Medicine as an associate fellow in 1985. From 1976 to 1999 she was a member of the Women's City Club of New York, serving as its President from 1982 to 1986. Her husband Dr. Laurence Farmer of New York City died in 1976.
