Obituary:
Walter Aichele, 74, of 440 Stewart Street, a retired employee of Commerical Stamping and Shearing Company in Chicago, Ill., died at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday in Bethesda Hospital whre he had been a patient for 3 weeks.
Born Sept. 23, 1897, in Crooksville, Mr. Aichele was a son of John and Lillie Conaway Aichele. He was a Chicago resident for several years and formerly lived in Fort Myers, Fla. before returning here in recent years. He was a member of Bolivar Lodge 882 F&AM in Illinois and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Emmett (Jessie) Helriggle of 440 Stewart Street; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother Rev. John Aichele of Salem, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Haas of Avon; and nieces and nephews including Mrs. Ernest Geist, Sr. of Licking View.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bryan Funeral Home where Amity Lodge 5 F&AM will hold rites at 7 p. m. Thursday.
