Bob was a graduate of Norristown High School class of 1954, and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army in 1962. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Club and the Mt Carmel Sports Club, where he enjoyed playing bocce ball. Bob was an avid golfer and was a member of the Toads Golf Team. He also made and bottled his own wine.
In addition to his wife Shirley, Bob is survived by his daughter Shanna Gates and her husband Kevin and son Thomas Yost and his wife Jean, seven grandchildren; Gemma Gates, Gianna Gates, Rachel Leisure, Sarah Erskine, Alisha Luft, John Morris and Joseph Morris, 11 great grandchildren, his sister Agnes Criscuolo and brother Charles Longo. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Anthony, Salvatore and Angelo.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Bob's Life Celebration on Tuesday September 18, from 6 to 8 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000 and on Wednesday from 9 to 10:20 AM at St. Eleanor's Church in Collegeville. His Funeral Mass will begin a 10:30 AM at the Church. Entombment will be in St. Patrick's Mausoleum.
