CHARLES WESTERN OF CHARLESTON IS DEAD Special to The Journal-Gazette. Charleston, Ill., Oct. 3. Charles Western died at 10:30 o'clock this morning in the Charleston Hospital. He had two strokes of apoplexy resulting In paralysis. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon In the Miller chapel In this city and burial will be in Mound cemetery.

Mr. Western was the last member of his immediate family. His wife died in 1930. He leaves a son, Fred Western, of Detroit. Mich.; a daughter. Mrs. Gertrude Bidle. of Paris, and a sep-daughter, Mrs. Bertha Paul.

He was born Jan. 12, 1859, near Brooklyn, N. Y. and was a resident of this community for the last 35 years.
