Susan worked in sales for Sears in North Syracuse for a number of years and then found her career passion working for Gaylord in Liverpool and North Syracuse for 21 years until retirement in 2013. At Gaylord, serving Libraries and Museums nationwide, she worked in Sales, Tele sales, Trade Show Administration and Product Management, earning the position of Director of Product Management.
In retirement, Susan loved to travel and was especially focused on visiting the U.S. National Parks and Monuments and U.S. Navy bases. Courageous and adventurous, she divided her time between Hawaii, Florida, Maine and California, but Central NY was her home where she loved being with her family, landscaping her house and traveling throughout the Adirondacks and Finger Lakes.
Susan was predeceased by her father, Joseph Haas and mother, Dorothy Haas. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry Carrington Orr, and her devoted children, Richard Boulton and Jessica Rawson, and stepchildren, Royce Orr and Paige Orr. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Haas, and sisters, Jean Cramer and Pam Montressor. Susan, known to them as Mimi, was most proud of her four grandchildren, Ben and Will Rawson, and Rowan and Reid Boulton.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
