Celebrating the life and home going of Richard Lee Brown (Mukes). Born to Ms. Novella Anderson and Guylin (Red) Mukes on June 6, 1945. Raised by his maternal grandparents, Edna and
Richard Brown. He attended school in both Jones and Dungee School districts.
Richard was a cross country truck driver for over 40 years. Driving for Lee Way Trucking and many other companies, ending up with his own owner-operator business, Guylin Syndicate L.L.C. He retired from trucking in 2015 because of health problems. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 10 years while driving his own Truck "Barbecue Catering Service, Brown (Mukes) Catering".
Predeceased in death by his father, Guylin (Red) Mukes. He leaves to reflect over his transition from earth to glory, his present wife Evangelist Gloria Brown; his mother, Ms. Novella Reid; three
sisters: Ms. Betty Lee, Ms. Bridgett (Neil) Watson, and Ms. Janice Watson; two brothers: Earnest Reid, and Kenneth Mukes; one daughter, from previous marriage, Minister Doretha Parker; one
grandson, Kenneth Henry; one step-daughter, Ms. Phyllis Bridges of Crest Hill, Illinois; three grands: Alex Moncrief, Dallas, Texas; Ashlynn Bridges, Houston, Texas; and Allijah Bridges SIU,
Carbondale, Illinois; a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
