Services to celebrate the life of Lorraine Rogers, 86, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday at Danville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Danville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Danville Baptist Church and from 12 noon until service time on Friday.
Mrs. Rogers died on September 11, 2018 at her residence. She was born on June 18, 1932, to the late Robert Sylvester and Gritie Mae Brooks Michael. She was a longtime member of Danville Baptist Church and retired from Wurlitzer after 33 years. She also had a ceramic business and was co-owner and operator of J & R Tires.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Rogers; brothers, Charlie Michael, J.O. Michael, Paul B. Michael, Frankie Michael; sisters, Prebble Lambert, Juanita Rogers and a son-in-law, Leroy Reynolds.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Lee Rogers of Rienzi, Jimmy Dewayne Rogers (Laura) of Booneville, Wanda Jane Reynolds of Rienzi and Debbie Lynn Kennedy (Chuck) of Corinth; brother, Aubry Michael (Barbara) of Corinth and sister in laws, Betty Sue Michael and Bella Michael; grandchildren, Jason Reynolds, Christopher Rogers, Chad Rogers, Jeffery Reynolds, Starla Rogers, Summer Kennedy, Skylar Rogers, and James Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Weson Rogers, Dylan Rogers, Ayden Rogers, Abby Reynolds, Kaiden Dilworth, Emily Reynolds, Wade Reynolds, Jaden Reynolds and Braxton Leathers. Pallbearers will be James Ray Lambert, Kevin (Butch) Clemons, Jason Reynolds, Christopher Rogers, David Wilkerson, Ronald Lee Michael and Chad Rogers.
