Janie Phillips Henson, age 68 of Huntsville passed away Sept. 12, 2018. She was a life-long resident of Huntsville. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Henson is survived by her son Toby Benton Campbell (Veronica), granddaughters Julie and Kayle; sister Marilyn Phillips Wright (Taylor); brothers Jim Phillips (Marilyn),and Ricky Phillips (Patsy); and a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who loved her dearly. She will be remembered always for her selfless love for others, her beautiful smile, and her witty sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her father Claude Benton Phillips, mother Lina B. Phillipa, sisters Bobbie Thompson, Vivian Hollingsworth, brothers Billy Phillips, Sam Phillips, Ronnie Phillips and Kenny Phillips.
Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Hill followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Ricky Phillips and Rev. Terrill Boyd. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.
