From Patrick's obituary:
Every day we witness examples of “bad things happening to good people” and remain mystified by what appears to be random and senseless acts. On Friday July 27th 2018 at 11:16am, Patrick Jefferson Dennis renewed our mortality and passed peacefully, succumbing to injuries sustained in an auto accident at the tender age of 17.

Patrick was a rising Senior at Harnett Central High School where he was an exceptional student and athlete. He was an avid hunter and fisherman though football was his primary passion. He remains admired and respected by both his coaches and football brothers. Patrick had an incredible work ethic and was very goal oriented with a limitless future. He lived everyday of his short life to the fullest, always with a contagious smile and positive attitude. Many of his friends describe Patrick as “The nicest person you’ll ever meet” further affirming the special person he was and positive influence he had on the lives he touched. He dreamed of attending Clemson University fall 2019.

Patrick was born on December 31st, 2000 in Wake County, the son of Todd and Christiana Dennis of Fuquay Varina. He is predeceased by paternal grandmother Betty Lou Dennis of Holly Springs and maternal grandfather Horace Jefferson Williams, Jr. of Fuquay Varina. He is survived by his parents; sisters Kailey and Natalie; maternal grandmother Elizabeth Williams; paternal grandfather Carroll W. Dennis; aunts, Andrea Dennis DuFour, Susan Dennis and Janet Summer; uncles, Britt and Ryan Dennis and David DuFour; and cousins, Kathryn, Jessica, Marin and Callie Dennis.

Services and a celebration of Patrick’s life will be held on August 1, 2018, at 11:00AM at the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church with internment immediately thereafter at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens. Parents ask friends and relatives to join them afterwards for a reception at St. Bernadette Catholic Church: 1005 Wilbon Rd, Fuquay Varina.
