He passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 86 years, 7 months and 15 days of age.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 57 years, Melba. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from farming after 70 plus years of working He enjoyed golf, fishing, and bowling. He spent many years coaching youth baseball in Caruthersville and enjoyed every minute of it. He also enjoyed rolling hot tamales for the R-3 Party for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Faukner, his mother, Irene Howard, stepfather, Claude Howard, two brothers, a sister, daughter, Paula Faulkner Carr, and grandson, Steven Paul Murphy.
He leaves the following to cherish his memory, wife, Melba Faulkner of Caruthersville, children, Parker Faulkner of Caruthersville, Johnny Faulkner of Kennett, Dewayne Faulkner (Sarah) of Jackson TN, Kevin Faulkner (Kellye Jo) of Caruthersville, Timothy Faulkner (Chassidy) of Dyersburg, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Caruthersville with Brother Larry Griffin, Pastor Chad Fisher, and Pastor Shawn Harding officiating. Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Caruthersville. Pallbearers were Kyle Kersey, Mike Trainor, Mike Foster, Jack Hubbard, Charles Oliver, and Scott Anderson.
