George Robert Little, 83, Oskaloosa, formerly of rural Lawrence, died Monday, September 10, 2018 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence. He was born November 23, 1934 in Kiowa, OK, the son of Willard Ben and Evelyn Luciel Herd Little. He was a 1952 graduate of Limestone High School, Limestone, OK, and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Mr. Little retired in 1995 after 36 years of service to Douglas County as Director of Data Processing. He also farmed and raised cattle for many years in the Pomona area. He was a member of McLouth First Baptist Church. He was married to Anolia Corrine “Anne” Clawson on March 28, 1959 in Oklahoma City, she preceded him in death on September 23, 2015. He is survived by three sons, Robert Little, Lawrence, Ronald (Debbie) Little, Kissimmee, FL, Rodney Little, Oskaloosa, two sisters, Barbara Ann Glasscock, Wesley, OK, Ruby Mouser, Atoka, OK, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also preced in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Little Martin.
George requested cremation with no service planned. Inurnment will be at the McLouth Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in care of Barnett Family Funeral Home/Jefferson County Crematory, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, KS, 66066.
