*Enlisted as a Private on 9 August 1862 at the age of 21 years. Enlisted in Co. K, 18th Infantry Regiment Michigan on 26 August 1862. Mustered out Co K, 18th Infantry Regiment Michigan on 26 June 1865 at Nashville, TN. Son of Dominic and Margaret LaPointe Drouillard. (GSMC)

Dominic and Mary lived at Erie Township, Monroe County, Mi. on the June 17, 1880 enumeration. He was about 38 years old and a "Saloon Keeper". He was born in Michigan as well as both his mother and father were born in Michigan. The name was Drulard in the census record. Two daughters and a son lived at home with the parents. Note: Erie, LaSalle, Monroe Townships, 10 to 15 miles from the city of Monroe.

The marriage took place at Vienna, Monroe County, on April 11, 1860, by Catholic Priest Father Thomas. Vienna was an early name for Erie Township area. Witnesses were A. Drouillard and C.
