Mary Ann A. Grimm, age 69 years, of Marion passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center.

The former Mary Ann Arlene Scheibe was born February 2, 1943 in Appleton to Victor and Erma (Sievert) Scheibe. She was united in marriage on December 13, 1969 to Robert L. Grimm at St. John Lutheran Church, Marion. From 1975 to 1989 the couple owned and operated Grimm's Family Restaurant in Marion. After they sold the business, Mary Ann cooked at several different restaurants in the area. Her husband preceded her in death on February 6, 2006. She was an active member at St. John's helping out in the office, serving on Church Council & Evangelism Committee, and she always enjoyed the "Come Alive" Service on Sunday. Mary Ann spent countless hours volunteering at Mama’s House of Hope and at the Food Pantry, both in Marion. Her other interests included cooking, embroidery, sharing her baked goods at community events, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Tricia) Grimm of Weyauwega and Barry (April) Grimm of Caroline. There are four step children; Shirley Seay of Tennessee, Susan (Jeff) Paiser of Pearson, WI, Delwin (special friend Connie) Grimm of Manawa, Ashley Grimm of Manawa. There are 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. There are five siblings; Donna (Jim) Klatt of Menasha, Betty (Owen) Runge of Appleton, Larry (Jane) Scheibe of Kimberly, Lester Scheibe of Freedom, and Susan (Jack) Huff of Appleton. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Jim Geiger of Omaha, NE, a special niece, Doreen (William) Mitchell of Waukesha, and many other relatives and friends. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, and a sister, Carol Geiger.

The family wishes to thank all her friends and extended family, but especially; Karmen & Melvin Schwartz, the Caroline Lions Club, ThedaCare at Home Hospice, the staff at Greentree Health Care Center, Clintonville, the team at Appleton Medical Center - 7th floor oncology unit, and the support staff at Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 318 E. Garfield Ave., Marion. Rev. Bradley Dokken will officiate and burial will follow at Trinity-St. John Cemetery, Town of Dupont. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the church AND on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, is assisting the family.
