Beverly J. Hagen, 81, of Medford, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 at Aspirus Medford Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford with Pastor David Clements officiating. Interment took place at Chelsea Community Cemetery in the town of Chelsea. Visitation was held at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12 and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Pallbearers were Roger Hamm, Dan Vlach, Kyle Kutzke, Jamie and Tim and Matt Strebig
Beverly was born on Jan. 3, 1937 in the township of Medford to the late Eleanor Mae (Leischer) and Elmer Eric Strebig. She attended the town of Chelsea Elementary School and Westboro High School. Beverly’s first marriage was to Ewald Graumann in Medford and he preceded her in death in 1996. Her second marriage was to Bill Hagen in Chelsea and he preceded her in death in 2008. After her education, she worked in Janesville as a housekeeper, worked at Gem Products in Rib Lake and Weather Shield Mfg. in Medford until retirement. In retirement, she worked at Hereford and Hops in Wausau, Holy Rosary School, Medford and Walmart in Medford. She enjoyed polka dancing, trips to the casino, camping, crafts, playing cards, puzzles and traveling. She was a past member of the Chelsea Conservation Club.
Beverly is survived by her special friend, Merlin Gebert of Medford; children, Randy (Yong) Graumann of Olympia, Wash. and Danny (Cheryl) Graumann of Rib Lake; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley (Frank) Hamm, Debby Dirk and Julane (Neal) Zuleger, all of Medford, Judy (Norman) Vlach, Jim (Gloria) Strebig, Brenda (Ken) Schilling and Sandy (Fred) Linzner, all of Rib Lake; Rocky (Lora) Strebig of New Berlin.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Beverly was preceded in death by a son, Gene Allen Graumann in 2017; daughter-in-law, Tammy Graumann in 2007; and brothers, Richard and Russell Strebig.
