Jan was the daughter of William Hadley Jones and Doris Mae Wray Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, her beloved children and their spouses. She is also survived by her four precious grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers and their wives. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and family members.
Jan graduated from Batesville High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She graduated from the University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She pursed her passion to teach children in the Fifty-Six school system for eight years. After the birth of her first child, she dedicated her life to her children and their home school education. Later, she was employed by the Stone County Library in Mountain View where she worked for fifteen years.
Jan was a devout Christian and an active member in the New Life Church in Leslie, Arkansas. She was a woman who devoted her life to her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Sept. 14 at 6:00 to 8:00 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home. Services will be Sept. 15 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Mountain View. A private burial ceremony will follow. Officiants will be John Hill, Carl Mayes, and Alan Alford with 6 pallbearers and 10 honorary pallbearers.
