Born in Pelzer, he was a son of Sarah Kay Clardy of Greenville, and the late Ernest Ansel Clardy.
Larry served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Poe Baptist Church, the Hejaz Temple, and was a lifetime member of the Sam Poe Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by a sister, Gail Clardy; two brothers, Gary Clardy and Keith Clardy (Rita); three nephews, Kevin, Bradley, and Matthew; two step nieces, Debbie Childs and Donna Hunter; three grandnephews, Lucas, Kade, and Steele; and three step grandnephews, Cody, Jacob, and Shane.
Burial in Graceland Cemetery, West.
