Fred Lovel White 89, passed away peacefully at Park Terrace under Hospice Care on September 12, 2018. Fred was born October 18, 1928, in Edmonson County.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lynn Hilan (Kinser), his parents, Charlie and Velma White, his brothers; Eldon and Hardin; and his sisters'Eula May Brooks, Marie Horn and Lillie Davis; and his in laws, Cleva and Florence Kinser of Edmonson County.

He is survived by his son, Roger C White and his partner, Mark Bryan of Florida.

He was on the baseball and basketball teams of Sunfish High School where he graduated. He was a member of the Larchmont Church of God since 1949. With his wife, he started the Friendways youth program and helped the local Boy Scout Troop. He served on numerous church committees. He worked at Lorillard Tobacco for 37 years as a checker in the shipping department. He was an avid supporter of the University of Kentucky and automobile enthusiast, once owning a 1930 Model A. He also enjoyed working on his farm in Edmonson County for many years.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM on Friday. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
