Funeral services for John H. Pruett, Jr. will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. Dr. Mark Fenn will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mr. Pruett was born May 24, 1923 and passed away after a brief illness on September 9, 2018. He was owner of JHP Construction Company. Mr. Pruett was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Ann Pruett; and a son, Jeff Pruett. He was a member of First West Baptist Church.
Mr. Pruett is survived by his daughter, Laurie Scott and husband Kenny; sons, John H. Pruett III and wife Ruby, Andrew Pruett and wife Brenda; sister, Martha Ann Thomas; grandchildren, John J. Pruett, Aaron Pruett, Jackson Pruett, Bo Scott and wife Shelly, Michael Scott and Katie Scott; great-grandchildren; Kennedy Anne Scott, Joel Anthony Scott, Hayden Pruett and Makenzie Pruett.
Pallbearers will be Bo Scott, Michael Scott, Kenny Scott, Aaron Pruett, John Pruett and Scotty Gwin.
