Des Moines, Iowa -- Esther Caroline Grizzle, 73, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Aledo and East Moline, died Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at Des Moines General Hospital.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Peniel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Jinks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept 17, 1919, in Aledo, the daughter of George D & Vie M Braught Stevens. She married Paul E Grizzle Sept 18, 1938, in Colfax. He died in 1979.
She was a cook assistant for A.R.A. Food Services in East Moline, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Fields, Moline, Mary Watters of Moline, and Carol Dawson of Bartonville; four sons, David Lee Grizzle of Orlando, FL., James Grizzle Sr. of Moline, Gary Grizzle of Kanakakee, and Robert Grizzle of Coal Valley; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Stevens of Marshall, Iowa, and Frank Stevens of Aledo; and three sisters, Mildred Harris of Aledo, Lois Stevens of Des Moines, and Georgia Golden of Gerlock, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant daughter.
