Carla Dean Leonard, 45, Tyler Avenue, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville, Kentucky.

Born June 12, 1960 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. "Bobby" and Delores Raiza Leonard. She had worked at ATR Wire & Cable and later as a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Danville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, a graduate of Western Kentucky University and was inducted into the Boyle County Hall of Fame this year for girl's basketball.

Survivors include two sisters: Gayle Miller of Brandon, Mississippi and Cecelia Leonard of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; one brother, Sleet Leonard of Danville, Kentucky; three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 5th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg by the Reverend Dale Denton with interment following in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers will be: Jack Leonard, Bill Shewmaker, Joe McGlone, Tom Tolliver, Doug Sanders, Joe Overstreet, Gile Cochran, and John Miller. Honarary pallbearers are: Teresa Sanders, Peggy Snow, Becky Snead, Gayle Prewitt, Sis Robey, Julia McKay, Franseda Gunn, and Marsha Huges.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 4 after 5 P.M. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
