She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Glen Cantrell; stepmother, Ruth Cantrell; stepfather, Nelson Fisher; and nephew, Trevor.
Glenna is survived by her loving husband, Roger Shelden, Niangua, Missouri; children, Adina (Larry) Bowden, Houston, Texas, and Bradley (Sara) Shelden, Overland Park, Kansas; four grandchildren, Shawn, Evan, Olivia, and Lucas; her mother, Fay Fisher and Gary Coughlin, Derby, Kansas; sister, Brenda (James) Gabbert, Niangua, Missouri; and a close bunch of lively and colorful characters in the form of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, second cousins and other various misfits.
She grew up in the Wichita, Kansas area and graduated from Derby High School in 1975. Glenna was a Registered Nurse for 27 years and for the past 15 years in hospice in the Springfield, Marshfield, Seymour and Niangua area. Glenna has also worked as a RN in the Niangua School System, RN for Kearney County Hospital in Lakin, Kansas and RN at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. Prior to that, Glenna was an EMT in both Andover, Kansas and later Lakin, Kansas. Through her nursing career, she touched countless lives.
Celebration of Life visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2018 at Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, Missouri with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
