Catherine Ward, age 92, passed away July 20, 2018. Native of Dumbarton, Scotland. Wife of the late John Ward; loving mother of Mary, Joan, and Anne. Catherine was a much loved aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Catherine loved her family, friends, pets, and was a caring and giving person who enjoyed volunteer work. She volunteered at Elijah’s Pantry at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Logan Square for over twenty years, also at Bingo at Immaculate Heart of Mary as well as at the school library. Catherine possessed a great spirit of adventure, leading her from Scotland to Chicago. She loved to travel, was an avid reader and had a wicked sense of humor, she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

A Mass celebrating Catherine’s life will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 3834 N. Spaulding Avenue, Chicago, IL at 11:30am on Saturday, August 25th, 2018.

Memorials in Catherine’s honor may be made to St Joseph’s Indian School, a cause near to her heart which she supported for over 60 years.
