Janice Allen Griffin, 87, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at home Feb. 20, 2017. She was born July 8, 1929, in Cove, Utah, to Clarence L. and Florence Comish Allen. She graduated from North Cache High School, where as a sophomore she met her high school sweetheart, Jay Griffin. They went steady for three years before marrying in the Logan LDS Temple on May 5, 1948. She and Jay served a two-year stake mission.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, teaching Primary for many years and serving in the presidency of the Young Women's Association, and was a devoted helpmate as Jay graduated from Northwestern Dental School in Chicago and as he served in leadership positions in the church. She and Jay lived in Newton; Evanston, Illinois; Brigham City; Cove; Salt Lake City; Sun City West and Logan. She was a beloved mother to her two sons, Alan Jay and Scot Jed Griffin.

After Jay retired from dentistry they traveled the world. Jan assisted Jay escorting groups for Beehive Travel. She is survived by her husband; her son Alan (Eileen); granddaughters Rikki Griffin and Nancy (Mike) Boyer and their children: Savannah, Owen, Abigail, Jane and Griffin Boyer; and her brother Clair Allen (BeNon). She was preceded in death by her son Scot and her parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at noon at the Logan 5th Ward at The Boulevard (300 North) and 5th East. Viewing at the chapel will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the .
