Daniel Sylvester Beck, 91, father of Raymond S Beck of Tamaqua RD2, died Monday at his home in Mifflinburg. He had been ill a year.
Born in Union County, Mr. Beck was a son of the late John M. and Sarah (Bickel) Beck. His wife, the former Sarah Ellen Royer, died in 1932.
In addition to his son at Tamaqua RD2 he is survived by six sons, two daughters, a brother, three sisters, 29 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren.
Funeral Thursday afternoon from the Schwartz Funeral Home, Mifflinburg, with burial in White Deer Church Cemetery, Union County.
