Funeral services for Mr. Percy A. Ford, Sr., 87, of West Monroe, LA. will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 29, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. David L. Laverty officiating. Burial will be in Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Ford died April 26, 2004 at the Terrace in West Monroe, La. after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Peggy Price Ford, two children, Percy A. Ford, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Sandy of West Monroe, La. and Greta Ford Eppinette and son-in-law, Kenneth of Tucson, AZ. His grandchildren include, Ashley Ford Perkins and husband, Shane, Allison Ford, Michelle Eppinette Easton and husband, Keith, Shandy pipette, and Stephen Eppinette and wife, Amy; great grandson, Cade Easton; brother, Henry Ford and sister-In-law, Joan of Shreveport, LA, sister-in-laws: Helon Rutledge of West Monroe, Dot Price of Murfeesboro, TN, Mildred Ford of Bossie City, La. And Bennie Rhea Ford of West Monroe, La. and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Ford served as a deacon for many years at Memorial Presbyterian Church, later joining the First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, La, where he was a faithful member. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre and was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge and other decorations. He was a mechanic for a number of years and retired after many years in the lndustrial laundry business. He and his wife operated The Children's Workshop, a private pre-school and kindergarten for many years and much of his later life was devoted to children.

Special thanks go to Dr. Ron Hammett and his staff, the nursing personnel at the Terrace, Hass Personal Care Services and staff, and Patients Choice Hospice for all of the kind and loving care given to Mr. Ford.

Pallbearers will be Roland Carter, Bobby Rutledge, John Rutledge, Sr., Ricky Gonzales, Harry Liner, and Bobby Lawrence, Jr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM. until 8:00 PM. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or the First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, L.A.
